I met the beautiful Zara after she had booked me for her big day. My friend Becki Bishop of Floco Flowers, spoke highly of my photography and proceeded to show Zara everything she could find. For me I couldn't thank both Becki and Zara for their trust.
Zara and I spoke a few times on the phone but by the time we met in person to have coffee I felt I had truly made a new friend.
The girl seated before me was completely in love and so excited to walk down the aisle to perform her nikah and get married to Mohammed.
On the day I arrived at the fabulous Radisson Blue on Bath Road where Zara had stayed the night before with her best girl friends. The room was filled with makeup, jewellery, tulle dresses and the most spectacular red lengha. IAN IMPRESSED. Zara did her own makeup and it was flawless. What i love most about Zara was her love of photography. She left me fly around the room, shoot details and just shoot tom a vantage point that was non destructive.
With the final sprays of perfume, the entourage led their friend to meet her Prince at the spectacular Hedsor House. I couldn't wait to see how the venue had been dressed.
Hedsor House is one of the most beautiful venue on the outskirts of London. A manor house with character that exudes sophistication and elegance form its every pore. Floco Flower filled the venue with fresh flowers, the chair were aligned and filled with guests dressed in the most fabulous outfits.
Most importantly Mohammed was already in attendance. Eagerly waiting for his bride to be.
As Zara walked down the aisle with her brother who was dressed in full military regalia, the guests melted away as Mohammed saw Zara for the first. His smile said it all.
The Nkah was beautiful. upon its completion the couple were able to start to fully start to start enjoy ahead.
The immediate family and I popped out and shot some family portraits before heading to dinner.
The day was split into two functions. Late afternoon Zara chafed into her second outfit and had a civil ceremony. This was a much more relaxed affair with the couple making their appearance together.
By the end of the evening it as incredibly clear to me why these two wonderful people joined in matrimony. They laughed together all the time. They looked totally at ease with each other and just had fun. Their couple portraits were an important aspect of the day and they spent a long time just allowing me to document and pose them.
Thank you for allowing me to be part of your day.
